Datamanagement with SEPsesam for SuSE Linux Openexchange Server 4.0/4.1

Basic requirements:

One installed SEPsesam Client or SEPsesam Server version 2.0.x
SuSE Linux Openexchange Server 4.0/4.1



Installation Guide:

Install or update the SEPsesam Online DB-Modul with: 

	rpm -Uhv sesam_slox-2.0.2-XX.i386.rpm
	
Configuration:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Change into folder /<sesam_root>/var/ini/
Edit the file 'sm_slox.ini' and insert the SLOX - Cyrus password under

cyrus_passwd=yourpassword


This configuration is only needed during a restore of mails to create the IMAP index files. 

In order to read all user passwords during online backup, 
a line must be inserted into the file  '/etc/openldap/slapd.conf'

    by peername="ip=127\.0\.0\.1" read

Afterwards, the LDAP must be restarted with 
      
    rcldap start
    

Backup / Restore:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

To backup select in the SEPsesam GUI as backup type,'SuSE Linux Openexchange Server'. 
Please find further information about the backup of a SuSE Linux Openexchange Server
in the user manual in chapter Appendix->SuSE Linux Openexchange Server.

Hints

 - symbolic links under '/var/spool/imap' are NOT backuped.
 - For the Single Mail Restore a Linux or Unix SEPsesam Server is needed (not Windows).
 - After the restore of the Postfix files, mails may be sent again.
 - Before a restore, it could be possible that a manual link must be made 
   again to '/var/spool/imap'
